I enjoyed this part quite a bit. It’s a bit darker than I typically read, but I’m finding it interesting.

I can’t lie, Dual Melodies is a very dark fantasy, but I don’t stay in “Dark” forever. Part 2 is much lighter, dealing with characters that haven’t had to lead such a dark life. The story will bounce from fantasy to dark fantasy for probably another chapter before it levels out. I felt it was necessary to show the reader (after that brutal first chapter) that the entire book wouldn’t follow just that level of hardness.

I check every comment that comes in. Which does mean sometimes I get a bit of backup. It takes more personal time but it does mean that I get more quality comments.

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.
